Principle Investigator
Postdocs

Jianming Cui
Jianming earned his Ph.D. from Penn State with expertise in molecular modeling and accelerated molecular dynamics. He is leading several projects here, including high-throughput algorithms and machine learning force fields. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, videography, and video editing. He also served as the assistant concertmaster for the university orchestra during his undergraduate studies.
Graduate Students

Nakyeong Ahn
Nakyeong grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and is currently a PhD student at Dartmouth Chemistry. Outside of school, she loves spending time crocheting and sharing things she made with friends. She also enjoys ice skating in her free time, which has been her favorite sport since she was very young.

Melanie Avila
Melanie grew up in Lima, Peru, and is currently a PhD student at the Department of Chemistry. In her free time, she enjoys painting, swimming and listening to music. She also enjoys taking long walks and hiking as it helps her connect with nature.
Undergraduate Students
We are inviting YOU to become our newest member.

Katie Wilson '27
Katie is a biochemistry major from Cincinnati, Ohio. She loves learning languages, particularly ASL and Chinese, and writes geology exams for science competitions. Beyond school, she enjoys playing guitar, skiing, and making friendship bracelets.

Lui Kamoshita-langan '27
Lui is a Computer Science major in the pre-med track from Big Island, Hawai'i. He works on a Plastic Recycling App development project, which aims to increase the social awareness of the plastic waste crisis and teach people how to properly close the carbon cycle. When he's free, he enjoys watching movies and clothes shopping.

Scipio Han '29
Scipio is a prospective mathematics and physics major from New Jersey. He's always found it interesting how well the two subjects overlap and wants to dig deeper into it and further applications. He will look at the rationale behind force fields, an intersection among math, physics, and chemistry. Outside of STEM, he also enjoys listening to and playing music, particularly classical piano.

Kaushik Rajkumar Jayaprabha '29
Kaushik, from Orlando, Florida, is a first-year student who is planning to major in biochemistry through the chemistry department ;) He joins the lab through the ERAS project. He will work on using hybrid Monte Carlo and Molecular dynamics to study the structure-property relationship for alloys. Outside of school, he likes to ride bike, play badminton, and take photos.
